    Sarah Bramao-Ramos is a former PhD Candidate in History and East Asian Languages. She completed her BA at the School of Oriental and African Studies and her Masters in History at the University of British Columbia. She works on Manchu language books and is more broadly interested in translation in the early modern world, the history of the book, and ways of uncovering the history of reading. She is one of the hosts of the New Books in East Asian Studies podcast, where she interviews authors about their new books.
