Alex Creighton is a sixth year graduate student in English at Harvard University, with a secondary field in Studies of Women, Gender, and Sexuality. An active writer and musician, he is currently working to develop an interdisciplinary theory that uses the language of music to think about questions of fictional time -- how stories unfold, how they create systems of expectation and resolution, how they balance (or provocatively destabilize) the various narrative modes. He has published in The Journal of Victorian Culture and The Emily Dickinson Journal.
