Zichen Liu is a doctoral candidate from the Department of English. His research focuses on the theatre culture of London as represented in late 18th-century and early 19th-century coming-of-age novels and autobiographical writings. He is specifically interested in women's presence in theatre, the role of music in theatre and fiction, and aesthetic/political discourse between 1790 and 1820.
