Rebecca Wu studies Chinese legal history, focusing on the late imperial and the Republican periods.   
  
Rebecca graduated from Princeton University in 2025 with an A.B. in History (magna cum laude); her thesis on petitioning practices in late-Ming China was awarded the department’s Susan Naquin Prize for the Best Senior Thesis on Asian History. She joined Harvard’s PhD program in History and East Asian Languages in the same year.
