She completed her PhD in intellectual history under the supervision of Quentin Skinner and David Colclough at Queen Mary University of London. Her thesis was on character-writing in early modern Europe: specifically how sketches of character types were thought to have significant political and moral effects. This work spans classical reception, British and French literature and early modern philosophy.
