She is currently completing her dissertation entitled “Geos and Empire: Mining, Labor, and Environment in the Ottoman Empire, 1720s-1820s.” Her work has been supported by the Fulbright-Hays, CAORC, American Research Institute in Turkey, the Weatherhead Center, and others.
