On April 29th and 30th, the Medieval Graduate Interdisciplinary Workshop is hosting a two-day in person workshop on digital editing for the web with XPath and XSLT.
 
The Medieval Graduate Interdisciplinary Workshop welcomes Dr. Sarah Lang (University of Graz, Austria) for a 2 day workshop on April 29-30. “Beyond TEI: A Workshop on Digital Editing of Premodern Texts” will introduce participants to: the basics of TEI and digital markup, navigating XML documents using the software XPath, transforming XML documents into HTML and LaTex output formats using XSLT and applying this knowledge to digital scholarly editing. We will be working with a transcription of a Latin manuscript from Houghton Library to collaboratively create our own digital edition. No previous experience is required, just a willingness to dive in and learn! Coffee and lunch will be provided for participants.
