This year’s workshop, led by **Sven Beckert** and **Sophus Reinert**, will explore the theme of global capitalism. We have a wide range of papers exploring such issues as the Caribbean origins of modern capitalism, Indian ocean merchant communities, and the connections between inequality and contemporary politics, among many others.
