Our annual Fall Aperitivo in partnership with the Early Modern World Initiative at Harvard University is coming up soon and will include four "flash talks" followed by breakout rooms.

4:30-4:40: Welcome, introductions (Leah Whittington, English)

4:40-4:55: Tom Cummins (History of Art and Architecture), “Beyond The Books of the Brave: Printing, Reading and Indigenous Knowledge in 16th and 17th Century America,” introduced by Sergio Leos (History).
 
4:55-5:10: Jen Nguyen (Harvard Writing Program), “Leibniz’s Relationalism about Quantity,” introduced by Sam Bozokov (English).
 
5:10-5:25: Emma Rothschild (History), “Marie Aymard and David Hume,” introduced by Katherine Horgan (English).
 
5:25-5:40: Richard Tuck (Government), “Active and Passive Citizens,” introduced by Konrad Boeschenstein (History).

5:40-6:00: Meeting & mingling in breakout rooms for each of the speakers. Participants may join the breakout room of their choice to carry on the conversation.
